Composer, singer, and laureate of the State Prize of Georgia, Jemal Sepiashvili, considers the international children's music competition "Vitebsk-2012" to be the brightest event of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". He expressed this opinion today to a BELTA correspondent at the draw ceremony for young contestants, which took place in the Soviet Army Cultural and Recreational Complex. "I want to confess my love for 'Slavianski Bazaar'; it is valued for becoming better every year. This is not my first time participating in the forum, and I believe it is very great, very beautiful, and fun. And the children's competition is one of the brightest and most interesting events at the festival," said Jemal Sepiashvili. He noted: "It is not difficult to evaluate the performances of young talents. To do this, one must love children and be able to become a child for three to four minutes to think about how your performance would have turned out at 9-10 years old." Thanks to his three grandchildren, the youngest of whom is only seven years old, the Georgian composer manages this quite well. To the young participants of the competition, the chairman of the jury wished, first and foremost, health and good luck. "I believe that a competition is one of the most subjective events in the lives of young performers. A child might cough at the wrong time, fail to perform due to nervousness; anything can play a role, so one should not take it too seriously," Jemal Sepiashvili added. -0-
