On 10.10.2016 at 21:30, the operational control centre of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations received a report from the duty officer of the District Department of Internal Affairs concerning a road traffic accident involving two passenger cars on the R-15 Lepel - Orsha highway near the village of Chertsy, Lepel rural council. Upon arrival of rescuers at the scene, it was established that a head-on collision between two passenger cars had occurred. As a result of the accident, the driver of an AUDI-80 car was trapped. Emergency rescue workers used hydraulic emergency rescue equipment to rescue (extricate) the driver of the car, who was hospitalised at the Healthcare Institution "Lepel Central District Hospital" with injuries of varying severity.
