On January 10, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Two trucks with 10 tons of meat were detained in the Orsha district, the agitation and propaganda department of the traffic police department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Two Mercedes-Benz vehicles, travelling at 21:00 on January 9 and 1:00 on January 10, were detained by traffic police officers near the village of Vysokoye. The total volume of cattle meat transported was about 10 tons, worth almost Br200 million. In both cases, the cargo was travelling from Baranovichi towards the border of the Russian Federation along the same route. The drivers did not have the corresponding accompanying documents, and when asked by state traffic inspectors, the men gave the same answer: "We decided to stock up for the future to feed our families." Administrative protocols have been drawn up based on these facts. An investigation is underway. -0-
