On December 13, Orsha / Olga Belyavskaya - BELTA /. The government is considering the issue of establishing two national dairy companies in Belarus, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich told reporters today, answering a question from a BELTA correspondent. "We are thoughtfully approaching this issue, as we will need to effectively manage the opportunities that are opening up for us with the increase in milk production volumes," said the head of government. "Most likely, we will have two national dairy companies." According to the Prime Minister, they will be created not to the detriment of existing ones, but to support competition and the effective implementation of public-private partnership mechanisms. The possibility of creating one such company with the participation of Brest enterprises and another with the participation of Minsk enterprises is being considered. In addition to representatives of the raw material zone, processing industry organizations, as well as commercial banks, are planned to be involved in the projects. At the same time, the head of government noted that the issue of creating two national dairy companies has not yet been finally resolved and is under development. "I think that by the end of the year, we will submit specific proposals to the head of state," Mikhail Myasnikovich said. -0-
