29 October, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Two sports grounds were opened today in the Vitebsk region, a BELTA correspondent reports.

In Vitebsk, the sports ground is located in a residential area at 32/7 Chkalov Street. It is conveniently situated between Gymnasiums No. 7 and No. 8 located in close proximity. The second one was built in Gorodok at the address Nevelskoye Highway, City Stadium. The modern sports facilities are designed for mini-football and consist of pitches measuring 20 m by 40 m with artificial turf, goals, and fencing. Access to them is free for every child.

The opening of the grounds is part of the social project of SOOO "NTS" "Native Land - for Children," which is implemented by the company in partnership with the Belarusian Football Federation and local authorities of the settlements where the grounds are being built.

As Oleg Chikun, Deputy Chairman of the "Belarusian Football Federation" Association, emphasized at the opening ceremony of the ground in Vitebsk, this project has huge social significance, as it contributes to the formation of a healthy lifestyle among children and adolescents, and also popularizes sports, and football in particular. "Serious attention is paid to the development of football in Belarus. I hope this pitch will become a starting point for nurturing our stars in this sport," he added.

In the Vitebsk region, three sports grounds have already been opened under this social project (the first was commissioned in June this year in Sharkovshchina). In total, 17 mini-football pitches have been opened in 16 settlements of Belarus this year. Another one is planned to be commissioned in Slonim in early November. In general, in accordance with the project, the company intends to build 118 such sports facilities in Belarus over five years.-0-
