For many, a bicycle is an indispensable mode of transport at any time of the year. However, in winter, when snowfall and icy conditions set in, cycling becomes unsafe, as such weather conditions can lead to injuries and maiming.

According to clause 153.4 of the Traffic Regulations, cyclists are prohibited from riding on the roadway or shoulder in conditions of snowfall and/or icy roads.

However, not all cyclists adhere to this rule. Yesterday, in the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi, a local resident violated this clause of the regulations and was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 1 base unit.

Safety first! Therefore, in winter, the best place for a bicycle is a garage, not the road.
