Road Safety Unified Day under the slogan "Fasten your seatbelt – save your life!"

A unified traffic safety day under the slogan "Fasten your seatbelt – save your life!", aimed at promoting the use of passive safety devices, will be held in the republic on March 26. Legislative norms oblige persons travelling in vehicles to use seatbelts. For ignoring these requirements, drivers face a fine of up to 1 base unit. For passengers not using seatbelts while travelling in a vehicle, the fine will range from 1 to 3 base units. If the violation is committed by the driver repeatedly within a year, the fine amount increases from 2 to 5 base units, as noted by the traffic police. For not using a child restraint system, a fine of up to 4 base units is provided. In case of a repeated violation of this kind, the fine will be from 2 to 8 base units.
