On 26 September 2024, a Unified Safety Day will be held in the Lepel district. Its aim is to train the public on actions during fires, emergencies, and first aid for victims.

The relevance of safety issues is confirmed almost annually by tragic examples of fires: the fire in the nightclub "Khromaya Loshad" (Perm, Russia), in the shopping centre "Zimnyaya Vishnya" (Kemerovo, Russia), etc.

Over 8 months of 2024, 30 fires occurred in the Vitebsk region at the facilities of enterprises and organisations, resulting in three injuries; fortunately, no one died.

Every day, everyone visits public places: shopping centres, polyclinics, schools, cinemas, and clubs, where evacuation skills, the ability to read evacuation plans and follow directional signs, as well as an understanding of crowd behaviour rules, can be useful.

On 26 September, a mass event involving interested services and organisations of the district will take place on Svobody Square in the town of Lepel at 11:00. A concert programme, competitions and quizzes on life safety basics, interactive zones, photo zones, familiarisation with special equipment, and much more await you.

Also, as part of the Unified Safety Day, at many places with mass gatherings of people – from educational institutions to large organisations and enterprises – regional rescuers will assist in conducting practical drills of evacuation plans, thanks to which everyone will remember what needs to be done in case of an emergency.

We invite everyone who cares about their own safety to take part in the event!
