On January 4, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. A unified procedure for registering citizens wishing to obtain land plots for housing construction is being introduced in Belarus. This decision was made by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of December 30, 2011, No. 1781, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian government. This resolution approves the regulation on a unified procedure for registering citizens wishing to obtain land plots for the construction and maintenance of single-family, semi-detached residential buildings. By March 1, 2012, regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee must form a unified list of citizens wishing to obtain land plots for house construction. Moreover, this will be done taking into account previously formed queues and lists of such citizens. Citizens in a subsequent queue (list) are included in the unified list of citizens wishing to obtain land plots for the construction and maintenance of single-family, semi-detached residential buildings, after citizens in the previous queue (list). Citizens are registered by local authorities forming a queue for the provision of land plots for house construction. When allocating land plots in Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, and other cities determined by executive committees, the interests of the state, local conditions, and economic efficiency are taken into account. There, plots are provided based on auction results or without them only to citizens in need of improved housing conditions. Citizens of certain categories are not included in these lists, including those not registered as in need of improved housing conditions. The list formed in Minsk includes large families registered as in need of improved housing conditions. This list is formed by the Minsk City Executive Committee based on information provided by the administrations of the capital's districts. Citizens are registered based on an application submitted to the relevant local executive committee, and in Minsk, to the district administration at the place of registration as in need. Lists and information on the conditions for including citizens therein are posted by local executive committees in accessible places on information stands, official websites, and can also be communicated to the public by other accessible means, including through the media.
