On April 9, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Vitebsk region must ensure the effective use of all vacant premises. This was stated today by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, at the 19th extraordinary session of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies of the 26th convocation, during the consideration of issues related to the lease of state property, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. As reported by Mikhail Pavlyuchkov, Director of the Vitebsk Regional Territorial Fund of State Property "Vitebskoblimushchestvo", as of today, approximately 3% of property with a total area of 254.6 thousand sq.m. is not used in the region in regional, communal, and city and district ownership. In republican ownership, 3.7% of real estate with an area of 267.8 thousand sq.m. is not used. In total, within the territory of the region, there are 1726 objects in republican, regional, city, district ownership, and consumer cooperation ownership that are in the process of liquidation and bankruptcy rehabilitation, with further measures defined for each of them for their effective use. Also, 94 objects have been identified that were previously sold but have not been used for more than 10 years. Regarding the effectiveness of state property use, Mikhail Pavlyuchkov emphasized that not all enterprises approach this issue responsibly. For example, last month the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund checked the effectiveness of the use of republican property by the "Vityaz" television plant, "Monolit", and "Evistor" enterprises. As an example, Mikhail Pavlyuchkov cited "Vityaz", one of whose buildings has not been used for seven years. However, the plant's administration refused the proposal to lease the vacant premises for the implementation of a number of promising projects.
