On the procedure for the supply of commercial timber to individuals for the construction and reconstruction of residential buildings, as well as utility buildings and their repair

The procedure for selling timber is regulated by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of May 7, 2007 No. 214 "On some measures to improve activities in the field of forestry".

Commercial timber in a prepared form is supplied to individuals:

• for the repair of residential buildings, utility buildings;
• for individuals permanently residing in rural areas and in need of improved housing conditions for the construction and reconstruction of residential buildings.

The following procedure is established for the sale of prepared timber. Individuals (the public) have the opportunity to purchase commercial timber from timber harvesters for the above purposes in accordance with the decision of the Lepel District Executive Committee.

The sale of prepared timber is carried out at producer prices formed in accordance with the legislation.

When applying, individuals shall draw up an application indicating the purpose of timber acquisition and providing the decision of the district executive committee for the construction of a residential building, utility buildings, repair or reconstruction.

It is important to note that the Government guarantees the provision of commercial timber needs for organizations engaged in housing construction in rural areas; agricultural organizations engaged in the repair and construction of livestock farms; organizations engaged in the repair and maintenance of social facilities under the balance of budgetary organizations.

Timber in standing trees is sold to individuals at the catalog price for the restoration of their residential buildings and utility buildings destroyed or damaged as a result of fires or natural disasters, by decision of the district executive committee.
