"The participation of Belarusians in combat operations abroad are anomalous cases. But in order to prevent them from recurring, the state needs to consider making extremist and jihadist websites inaccessible to our citizens on the internet," believes Mikhail Kovalev.
The Editor-in-Chief of "Ekonomicheskaya Gazeta" (Economic Newspaper), Leonid Fridkin, noted that the number of Belarusians fighting in other countries can be counted on the fingers. "Their motives in each case are very individual. But there is no such mass phenomenon among Belarusians," he added.
The programme "Club of Editors" (a project of the News Agency of Television) is a discussion platform where the heads of the most authoritative Belarusian publications engage in open dialogue about important and topical socio-political events in the country and the world.
