As part of the republican campaign "Focus on Children!" and the information campaign "Be Close to Your Child," employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations checked the safety knowledge of visitors to the "Tri Tseny" (Three Prices) store.
Children and their parents enthusiastically answered the rescuers' questions and participated in themed contests and quizzes.
Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke with adult shoppers about child safety, cited examples of fires caused by children's pranks, and explained the consequences of "not child's play." Rescuers informed parents about the information campaign "Be Close to Your Child!", which is aimed at addressing this social issue.
– Remember that children should never be left alone at home, even for a few minutes, as a phone call cannot protect a child from danger in the event of a threat, – emphasised an inspector from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
For the children, rescuers conducted the game "Safety Diary," during which boys and girls completed tasks, reviewed rules of conduct at home and outdoors, and practised procedures in case of fire.
– If a fire occurs in an apartment, you must leave it immediately, do not hide anywhere, inform adults, and call rescuers at 101 or 112, – the rescue service representatives taught the children.
For correct answers, the children received prizes, gifts, and useful educational materials on life safety.
