In the region, branches of "Vitebskenergo" have established commissions to assess the technical condition of buildings and structures, substations, the quality of repair work on main and auxiliary equipment, and fuel reserves. Specialists are checking anti-emergency and operational automation systems, technological and dispatch control, the serviceability of machinery and mechanisms, backup power sources, etc. In particular, in the Orsha power grids, over 200 hectares of overhead power line routes have been cleared, and 22 transformers have been replaced.
"In total, in the Vitebsk region, over 1.8 thousand hectares of overhead power line routes have been cleared to date, and 200 power transformers of various capacities have been replaced with modern ones. Support insulation of 35-110 kV at substations of 35 kV and above has been replaced, and engineering and technical inspections of 330 kV backbone power transmission lines have been carried out. Specialists have checked the power supply modes of boiler houses for compliance with the power supply category, and the operability of automatic transfer switch circuits for hospitals and other particularly important consumers balanced by the enterprise. Street lighting in rural settlements has been ensured," "Vitebskenergo" reported.
The enterprise added that workplaces and energy facilities have been fully equipped with personal protective equipment, fire extinguishing equipment, special clothing and footwear, and briefings and emergency drills have been conducted among personnel. Special attention has been paid to occupational safety issues.
In addition, an emergency stock of materials has been formed for the elimination of possible emergency situations and urgent equipment repairs, which is constantly replenished.
