Today, an exhibition of paintings by Anatoly Bukharkin has opened here, showcasing the unique nature of a protected area in our country.

Being half Russian and half Belarusian, he lived most of his life in Russia, and in 1975 moved to Belarus, to the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve. Initially, he worked as a forester at the Paliksky forestry, and then as a junior researcher in Domzheritsy.

Upon retiring, he structured his life as he had always dreamed – to live peacefully, at a measured pace, in harmony with nature.

In his works, Anatoly Viktorovich Bukharkin always accurately conveyed the subtleties of lighting, the play of light and shadow. Bukharkin's depiction of nature is a spectacle of light and colour, a harmony of hues, a symphony of earth and water, time and space.

The exhibition opening was attended by representatives of the biosphere reserve, artists from the Lepel region, pupils of the Centre for Children and Youth, and other connoisseurs of fine art. The works can be viewed until April 24.
