On October 21, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. An Estonian investor plans to invest about $9.5 million in the construction of three shopping and entertainment centers in Vitebsk. A memorandum of intent for the project implementation between the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the Estonian company Euro Petrol System was signed today at the international investment forum in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports.
According to the official representative of the investor, Viktor Verkhovsky, the Estonian company intends to build multifunctional centers with developed infrastructure on sites in new residential areas of Vitebsk. The next stage of implementing the intentions will be the conclusion of an investment agreement with the regional executive committee, after which the investor expects to bring the project to life within 1.5-2 years.
In addition, during the forum, a memorandum of intent on cooperation was signed between the Dokshytsy District Executive Committee and the English company "Corvin Corus" on attracting investments, technologies and implementing joint projects in woodworking. The Polotsk District Executive Committee and the firm "Tural K" (Azerbaijan) intend to cooperate on a project for the construction of a plasterboard production plant in the Belarusian region with a planned investment volume of 800 thousand euros.
The international investment and innovation forum "Investment Initiatives of the Vitebsk Region" is taking place in Vitebsk on October 21-22 with the participation of delegations and representatives from ten countries. The event is designed to activate cooperation processes between regions, cities, economic entities, promote the growth of export and investment potential, and facilitate the implementation of joint investment projects.
