For centuries, representatives of the Jewish people have made significant contributions to the life of Lepel, working for the benefit of their small homeland.
Among them were pharmacists, photographers, merchants, and representatives of other professions. It is not surprising that the collection of items reflecting Jewish culture is one of the important areas of work of the Lepel Museum of Local Lore.Recently, the museum's collection was replenished with valuable exhibits from the early 20th century, donated by Georgiy Zakharik from Minsk. This gift will allow for an even fuller presentation of the rich history of the Jewish community of the Lepel region.
