15 December, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Optional classes "Fundamentals of Legal Knowledge" and educational programs "Alphabet of Law" will be introduced in general secondary education institutions of Belarus. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Ministry of Justice. This decision was made in accordance with the government decree "On Approval of the Action Plan for Legal Education of Citizens for 2011-2015". It is aimed at increasing the level of legal culture of citizens who respect the rights of other members of society, and at teaching people to navigate situations that require legal knowledge. As an important means of popularizing legal knowledge in the field of human rights and freedoms, it is also envisaged to hold various competitions and olympiads on specialized topics for students, the press service noted. -0-
