On September 30, Molodechno /Nadezhda Radivon - BELTA/. The Republican festival-fair of village workers "Dazhynki-2011" will open today in Molodechno, reports a BELTA correspondent. The main holiday of grain growers is held in the Minsk region for the third time. In 1998, the festival was hosted by Nesvizh, and in 2005 by Slutsk. For "Dazhynki", new socio-cultural facilities (an amphitheater and a sports and entertainment complex) have been built, 98 residential buildings have been capital repaired, 163 buildings have undergone current repairs, and 23 houses in the "Vostochny" microdistrict have been commissioned. Cultural, educational, and sports institutions have been put in order. A large volume of work has been done on the reconstruction of utility networks, repair and asphalting of roads, landscaping, and greening. The central square and main streets have been transformed. In total, about 1,000 events were planned for the festival, and more than 70 contracting organizations were involved. Local residents also helped their beloved city by working at subbotniks (volunteer workdays). New attractions have also appeared in Molodechno - the composition "Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God", the fountain-sculpture "Paparats-kvetka" (Fern Flower), and a bronze passenger. Molodechno residents also received a beautiful recreation area as a gift - a reservoir, rotundas, fountains, and sports grounds have been equipped in Victory Park. During "Dazhynki", eight concert venues, a town of masters, and trade rows will be open. The regional museum of local lore invites you to the opening of a permanent exhibition on the history and culture of the Minsk region. The heads of the regions where the festivals were held will lay the Alley of History of "Dazhynki". The main events will be a theatrical procession and the award ceremony for the winners of the republican competition for crop harvesting. A night of classical music will be held at the Molodechno Music College, and the popular Belarusian singer Alexander Solodukha will perform on the central square. -0
