The musicians won an alternative vote conducted by the bank on the eve of the national final. Social media users liked the musicians' decision to perform in Belarusian with the memorable song "Heta ziamlia". They will not go to Sweden, but instead, a month-long tour of Belarus awaits them – the bank supported the promotional campaign, a tour of major cities in the country.
Musicians Artem Lukyanenko and Ksenia Zhuk will perform in 10 Belarusian cities. The first performance will take place on March 4 in Soligorsk. Then Navi will be seen in Vitebsk (March 12), Novopolotsk (March 13), Gomel (March 17), and Mozyr (March 20). After a short break, the group will visit Mogilev (March 26) and Bobruisk (March 27). They can also be heard in Grodno (April 1) and Brest (April 2), and the campaign will conclude on April 3 in Baranovichi.
These performances are dedicated to the awakening of nature and will be a kind of "Hukanne viasny". The concerts will be held in shopping centres, and admission is free. The musicians invite everyone who awaits spring and cares about Belarusian music and culture to their performances.
As Vitaly Zhagolkin, press secretary of Alfa-Bank, said, the friendship with Navi began in the final of the national selection for Eurovision, when their song gathered over 2,000 votes on the bank's social media. The group's songs are cheerful and melodic, sounding like spring. The format of the performances is informal: an improvised stage, free admission, live communication, smiles, and upbeat songs.
"We initially wanted to welcome the arrival of spring in a special way. And, fortunately, our idea was supported by Alfa-Bank. We will perform songs in two languages – Belarusian and Russian. Residents of regional and district centres will be able to attend the concert, get acquainted with us and our work. Perhaps this will become a good tradition in the future," admitted Artem Lukyanenko.
