This year, the agricultural producers of the Vitebsk region have passed the test and managed to fully harness the generous bounty of the land, harvesting 1 million 115 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 31 centners per hectare. This is one of the best results in recent decades.

In the Orsha and Vitebsk districts, grain harvest exceeded 100 thousand tons.

Consistently operating farms have once again achieved the best results in grain yield: "Larinovka" of the Orsha district – 77.4 centners per hectare, "Khotily-Agro" of the Postavy district – 68.1 centners per hectare, Tolochin Cannery – 64.1 centners per hectare, the branch "Agricultural Production "MazolovoGaz" of the Vitebsk district – 58 centners per hectare, Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm – 44.1 centners per hectare. It is noteworthy that this organisation ensured a gross grain harvest of 54.5 thousand tons, which is higher than the gross harvest of 14 districts of the region.

Along with agricultural enterprises, peasant farms also demonstrated worthy results. 55.9 centners from each hectare – this is the grain yield of the peasant farm "Terra Nostra" of the Beshenkovichi district. And the peasant farm "Varmas" of the Vitebsk district received 64.1 centners per hectare, while holding leading positions in the cultivation of onions, potatoes and other vegetables.

198 combine crews in the Vitebsk region exceeded a thousand tons of grain harvested. The mark of two thousand was conquered by 27 crews. Three thousand tons were harvested by 3 crews. More than 4 thousand tons were harvested by 1 crew.

The absolute record of this year's harvest was set by combine operators from the "Zadneprovsky" branch of the Orsha district, Alexander Komarov and Alexander Skleznov, who harvested 5 thousand 695 tons of grain.

The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops from sown and harvested areas was achieved by the Vitebsk district with a result of 41.5 centners per hectare. In second place is the Orsha district (40.5 centners per hectare). The top three leaders are closed by the Verkhnedvinsk district, where 35.5 centners per hectare were harvested.
