Phishing

Phishing is a type of online fraud aimed at gaining access to users' confidential data – logins and passwords for remote banking systems. This is achieved by placing fake (phishing) websites of banking institutions on the Internet.

The websites of all Belarusian banks are located in the *.BY domain zone. The bank's name must be written without any errors or symbols.

To avoid becoming a statistic of phishing victims, you should:

- check the address of the page where personal data is entered, or type the website address manually;

- securely use specialized mobile applications of banks, marketplaces, delivery services installed from official websites;

- in the settings of your remote banking client, set limits on card transaction amounts; if you do not use online purchases, prohibit payments via the Internet.
