The contest of creative photographs is designed to show the role of the book in the life of modern man and the diversity of the world literary palette, as well as to promote acquaintance with the history and culture of Belarus.
The world cultural community will widely celebrate the 500th anniversary of the publication of the Psalter by Francysk Skaryna. This is one of the most important dates in Belarusian culture and part of world book history. As noted by the General Director of Radio "Belarus" Naum Galperovich, participation in the contest gives radio listeners from different countries an opportunity to talk about their favorite books and learn about the traditions of printing in other parts of the world, to share their literary preferences, books that have influenced their outlook on life, and those associated with important memories.
To participate in the contest, you need to send a photo of your favorite book and a text comment to the email address booksgoglobal@gmail.com by April 30. The picture can be taken as a selfie, among other options. Originality and creativity of participants will be encouraged when selecting the winners.
Then, the contest photos will be posted on the website of Radio "Belarus" www.radiobelarus.tvr.by in a special section #booksgoglobal, where they can be voted for. Participants who receive the highest number of votes from internet users and a professional jury will receive prizes. The results of the creative competition will be announced in May of this year.
