"We believe that a roadmap should be outlined for each district for the near and long-term perspective. This is necessary to clearly understand what will be built in the district and city in two or three years, what the region should earn on its own, what investments to attract, and what subsidies should be allocated from the regional or republican budgets," noted Mikhail Orda. Only in this way, in his opinion, can regions work proactively. In rapidly changing conditions, it is necessary, based on territorial growth points, to develop today what will be in demand tomorrow.
Mikhail Orda also expressed concern about the low level of wages in certain districts. "We discussed this at the National Council for Labor and Social Affairs and sent letters to the governors of the regions where such areas are located, urging them to pay special attention to them," said the Chairman of the FTUB.
Regarding the direct activities of trade unions, he noted that in the first half of the current year, 58 cases were resolved in favor of employees in court instances, where trade union lawyers represented the interests of workers. With the direct participation of trade unions, 40 illegally dismissed individuals were reinstated, and unpaid or illegally withheld money exceeding Br2 million was recovered.
