Traffic Police to Step Up Control Over Safety of Vulnerable Road Users February 12-14

From February 12 to 14, the traffic police will conduct preventive measures to ensure the safety of vulnerable road users.

Traffic police officers will inform the public about the rules of safe behaviour, including when riding bicycles and personal mobility devices. Inspectors will also focus on safety at pedestrian crossings. Taking into account the seasonal factor, they will remind about the necessity and rules of using retroreflective elements.

During the campaign, raid operations are planned to address the most accident-prone sections of roads and pedestrian crossings. Cyclists and pedestrians who violate traffic rules will be held accountable. In addition, traffic police officers will monitor compliance with speed limits and the rules for passing intersections by drivers.

If drunk pedestrians and cyclists are detected on the road, please report their location by calling 102 for their timely removal from the roadway.
