In the Vitebsk region, over 140 bus and taxi drivers have been brought to administrative responsibility for traffic violations within a week. "There has been a noticeable decrease in accidents involving irregular passenger carriers – buses and taxis," he clarified. "Since October 16, 141 violations by irregular passenger carriers have been recorded in the Vitebsk region. A large number of violations are committed by taxi drivers, including failure to yield to pedestrians, running red lights, speeding, violating intersection traffic rules, and using mobile phones while driving."
