During the New Year and Christmas holidays, the traffic police are paying increased attention to the timely detection of intoxicated road users. In the first few days of the new year, 109 intoxicated drivers were detained and removed from traffic. Over 220 instances of driving by unlicensed individuals were suppressed.

In connection with the particular relevance of preventing road traffic accidents committed while intoxicated, the State Automobile Inspectorate is conducting nationwide preventive measures "Drunk and Unlicensed Drivers Have No Place on the Road!" until January 8.

Traffic police officers have intensified traffic supervision, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations by drivers and pedestrians, including at venues for festive events.

In the upcoming weekend, an exchange of road patrol service units from bordering districts is planned, along with the implementation of special operations "Filter" and "Web". Employees of the special traffic police unit "Strela" are providing assistance in the most accident-prone regions.

If you detect instances of intoxicated driving or intoxicated pedestrians on the roadway, report them immediately to the police by calling 102. Your call could save lives!
