Agro-industrial complex facilities have always attracted the attention of criminals due to their weak defenses. Farms often have polyethylene instead of bars on their windows, unreliable latches on dilapidated doors, and a sleeping guard in the utility room. What ideal conditions for committing the perfect crime! This is why law enforcement officers can never be out of work. Almost daily, law enforcement officers conduct raids to prevent the theft of goods and materials from farms, machinery yards, and other agricultural facilities. Since the beginning of the current year's harvest campaign alone, law enforcement officers have carried out nearly 300 checks on the service of guard security. The result is at least a hundred various violations. Meanwhile, law enforcement officers have repeatedly urged the heads of agricultural organizations to be selective in their choice of candidates for the position of guard.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Sometimes, banal negligence leads to serious violations of the law. Thus, using his official position and lack of oversight, a tractor driver-machinist of one of the district's agricultural production enterprises "privatized" 180 liters of diesel fuel through a simple scheme. The damage to the enterprise amounted to more than 250 rubles. A criminal case has now been initiated against the enterprising man under Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code.
Two residents of Lepel district will have to answer for their actions, having committed petty theft of 93 kilograms of mixed feed from a agricultural facility.
At the same time, everyone who attempts to encroach on public property in the agro-industrial complex should remember the responsibility provided for by Article 10.5 (petty theft) of the Code of Administrative Offences and Article 205 (theft) of the Criminal Code.

Art. 10.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus
1. Petty theft of property by means of theft, fraud, abuse of official powers, misappropriation or embezzlement, as well as an attempt at such theft – shall entail a fine of ten to thirty basic units or administrative arrest.
2. The same acts committed repeatedly within one year after the imposition of an administrative penalty for similar violations shall entail a fine of thirty to fifty basic units or administrative arrest.
Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus
1. Secret misappropriation of property (theft) shall be punishable by community service, or a fine, or correctional labour for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to three years, or deprivation of liberty for the same term.
2. Theft committed repeatedly, or by a group of persons, or with unlawful entry into a dwelling shall be punishable by correctional labour for up to two years, or arrest for a term of three to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to four years, or deprivation of liberty for the same term.
3. Theft committed on a large scale shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of two to seven years with or without confiscation of property.
4. Theft committed by an organised group or on a particularly large scale shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of three to twelve years with confiscation of property.
Another area that is under close scrutiny by police officers is the physical condition of rural workers, especially those who are driving.
Thus, from the very first days of the harvest season, State Automobile Inspectorate officers identified drivers operating vehicles while intoxicated or driving without a licence.
In case of workers of the agro-industrial complex being in a state of alcoholic intoxication during working hours, they shall be subject to administrative penalties in accordance with Part 2 of Article 17.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus – a fine ranging from 1 to 10 basic units. Six workers of the agro-industrial complex were found to be at their workplace in a state of alcoholic intoxication, 5 of whom were watchmen.
Raids by mobile police units on agricultural facilities in the Lepel region are currently in full swing. However, it is not easy to set everything in order with the efforts of law enforcement officers alone. In this regard, the Internal Affairs Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee appeals to all citizens: "If anyone has information about facts of theft of goods and materials, violation of labor discipline, or the presence of watchmen at their workplace during working hours while intoxicated, please report it to the police immediately by calling 102."
