First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Gennady Sabynich paid a working visit to Verkhnedvinsk District.
He was informed about the progress of construction of livestock facilities, which are scheduled for commissioning in 2024, by Sergey Valkov, First Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee – Head of the Agriculture and Food Department, and Dmitry Reut, Deputy Chairman for Construction.
By the end of the year, Shaiterovo Open Joint Stock Company expects a landmark event – the commissioning of a dairy farm for 400 head. Half of the milking herd will be moved to the premises, which are being built ahead of schedule. Work is currently underway on the installation of DeLaval milking equipment and the creation of infrastructure.
The introduction of modern production allows for expectations of milk yields exceeding 9 thousand kilograms per cow per year.
As Gennady Sabynich noted, the team, led by Mikhail Gumennkov, does not complain about problems but seeks solutions and successfully moves towards the set goal.
Gennady Sabynich also inspected the construction of a dairy farm in the agro-town of Kokhanovichi, Verkhnedvinsk District.
After many years of conservation, work has resumed here and is proceeding at an accelerated pace. The facility has been transferred to the balance of the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory, which is carrying out the construction using loan funds and its own resources.
The complex will feature a closed-loop production cycle – from calf to dairy cow. Spacious, well-lit premises are planned to house over 800 head of milking herd and produce at least 19-20 tons of milk per day – this volume of production will allow the butter and cheese factory to secure the missing local raw materials for itself.
Gennady Sabynich described the construction of the complex, which uses modern technologies and equipment from leading manufacturers and has no analogues in the Vitebsk region, as a model to be emulated not only in the region but also in the republic.
