10 January, Glubokoe /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The Prosecutor General's Office insists on strengthening the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs units in combating drugs and working with minors. This was stated by Prosecutor General of Belarus Alexander Konyuk in an interview with a BELTA correspondent.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs needs to intensify the fight against drugs. The level of latent crime in this area is very high," said the Prosecutor General. In turn, the prosecutor's offices will also strengthen prosecutorial supervision in this area.
According to the Prosecutor General, another important aspect of the activities of the internal affairs bodies should be working with minors. "This work has been somewhat weakened. Supervision and systematic work are necessary," Alexander Konyuk is convinced. The Prosecutor General's Office will also strengthen its work in this direction.
