"Vitebsk" Cultural Centre has prepared a New Year's musical "An Ordinary New Year?" for children, featuring characters from Belarusian history and well-known American comic book heroes. This was announced to journalists by Irina Kovlenya, the chief director of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

During the New Year holidays, the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall will host an interactive phantasmagoria musical. The production will blend contemporary music, characters from Belarusian history, and Marvel heroes. While the organisers are not revealing all the details, they promise an engaging story with unpredictable twists and an educational component.

"This year, for the first time, we will delve deeply into the Belarusian theme – beautiful national music, architecture, and Belarusian wisdom will be featured in the musical. It's not a documentary history, but it will include real characters from Belarusian history whom we have made fairytale-like. In addition, the musical features fashionable and modern Marvel characters, including the Joker. It turns out that all of this can be combined with Belarusian themes," noted Irina Kovlenya.

Additionally, during the festive days, children can look forward to the fairytale-game "Karabas Barabas vs. New Year." This has been prepared by the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre and the "Koleso" Youth Theatre.

It is planned that over 20,000 schoolchildren from the city will attend the fairytale performances at the venues of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre. Furthermore, during the republican charity campaign "Our Children," children from orphanages and low-income families will attend the events.-0-
