There is interesting and extensive work ahead to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries. This was stated by the Head of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, following a meeting with the Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Turchin, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"The parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan is in a fraternal state, and we are very pleased to meet with the leaders of the parliament and representatives of the executive branch. We also plan to visit a number of enterprises in the Minsk region. There are several areas, and even despite the high trade turnover, we have work to do," said the Head of the State Council.
Farid Mukhametshin expressed special gratitude to the Belarusian manufacturers of agricultural machinery. "We are deeply grateful for the 'Belarus' tractors and for the mineral fertilizers that we purchase from you. They are successfully operating in the agricultural sector of our republic's economy," he emphasized.
The Head of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan also noted that the countries share much in common, particularly a historical past. "This only unites us. Our leaders – President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Head of the Belarusian state Alexander Lukashenko, who met just the other day and set tasks – are setting an example for us. And we have come to you to implement the agreements of the leaders of the two countries. I believe that interesting and extensive work lies ahead," Farid Mukhametshin concluded.
