As Raisa Borovets, the chairperson of the precinct election commission, admitted, Lepel residents have been coming to vote calmly since the morning. As in all corners of the country, the electoral process here is proceeding strictly in accordance with all the norms of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus.
Among those who hurried to the important socio-political event in the morning was the head of the district, Mikhail Kiselevich. The Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee came to the referendum with his family – his wife Marina, son Mikhail, and daughter Irina.
— The issue of making amendments and additions to the Constitution of our country has been raised for more than one year. The innovations that are being proposed to the citizens of the country today fully correspond to the demands of modernity and, most importantly, they clearly show a social orientation.
I fully approve of the amendments and additions being made to the Basic Law of our country and I emphasize once again that all innovations are aimed primarily at the well-being of every resident of Belarus, — commented Mikhail Leonidovich on today's event.
