The Chairman of the District Executive Committee visited the healthcare institution as part of the Unified Information Day. Svetlana Shevelyova, Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, also participated in the discussion.
The main topic of the meeting was the recently celebrated state holiday – the Day of National Unity.
Traditionally, the meeting continued in an open dialogue format. Hospital staff addressed the head of the district with their pressing issues and received detailed comments on them.
At the end of the meeting, Mikhail Kiselevich thanked the medical staff for their significant contribution to the district's healthcare system, the high quality of medical services provided, and their extensive work on the institution's modernisation and improvement.
During his visit to Lepel Central Regional Hospital, the head of the district, Mikhail Kiselevich, also familiarised himself with the conditions for patient treatment in the surgical department after its renovation.
As noted by the Chief Physician of the hospital, Alexey Prokofiev, extensive work has been carried out in the department – literally everything has been updated: from walls and windows to beds and equipment. It is now very spacious, fresh, modern, and comfortable.
The modernisation took place in the second ward of the department, and the first ward will be addressed soon. It is important to note that the surgical department of Lepel Central Regional Hospital is inter-district. Medical professionals from Lepel provide qualified medical and diagnostic care to patients with acute and chronic surgical pathology, neurotraumas, and musculoskeletal injuries, and conduct rehabilitation for surgical and trauma patients. The department also provides anti-rabies assistance to the population.
