The main spring field work in the Vitebsk region will begin next week, when the soil reaches the necessary conditions.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, during a visit to agricultural enterprise "MazolovoGaz" of unitary enterprise "Vitebskoblgaz". Currently, the regional authorities regularly hold teleconference meetings, where, figuratively speaking, they synchronize their watches – discussing problematic issues for carrying out sowing within optimal terms. Specifically, the readiness of equipment, the provision of fuel, and mineral fertilizers. At present, agronomic services are analyzing winter crops. So far, their condition does not cause concern. A seminar-meeting with the participation of officials and specialists will be held on Friday.

In "MazolovoGaz", the top dressing of winter cereals (670 ha) and cruciferous crops (600 ha) will begin soon. Four units of equipment will be involved in this, and the work is planned to be completed in less than a week. Sowing of early spring crops (500 ha) will take 4-5 days. Also, 700 ha of corn are to be sown, of which 100 ha will be grown for grain.

At the farm, Alexander Subbotin visited the educational and practical center "Kalinovo", created using the latest scientific and technological advancements, where an automated system for managing and dispatching cattle feeding has been implemented. He familiarized himself with the progress of the "Village of the Future" project by "Vitebskoblgaz", within which a scientific and practical center for breeding cattle and milk production, an oilseed processing plant, and a Beauty and Health Center have been established.

On this day, Alexander Subbotin also visited a number of "Vitebskoblgaz" facilities in the regional center. In particular, the emergency dispatch service (EDS) of PU "Vitebskgaz". A year and a half ago, modernization and technical re-equipment were carried out here, which made it possible to more effectively organize work on localizing incidents and accidents, eliminating their consequences, receiving incoming notifications around the clock, and monitoring the operating parameters of the gas supply and gas consumption system.
