During a monitoring visit to Lepel District, Tatiana Yashchenko, Chief Legal Labour Inspector of the Vitebsk Regional Organisation of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, inspected Bobrovsk Primary School, Borovok Kindergarten, and Starolyadnya Basic School.

Particular attention was paid to the practice of applying fixed-term employment contracts, compliance with employees' working and rest regimes, the granting of annual leave, the timing of wage payments, the legality of disciplinary actions, and other aspects.

During the occupational safety and health monitoring, the inspector focused on the procedure for exercising public control, the recording of identified violations in recommendations and the logbook for compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, as well as the issuance of certificates and recommendations by public inspectors.

Such events facilitate an in-depth study of the situation in institutions and the provision of advisory and methodological assistance to employees.
