On November 2, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. OJSC "Glubokoe Dairy Canning Plant" tripled its supplies to Israel in 2011, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The Glubokoe enterprise made its first delivery of dairy products, amounting to 24.5 tonnes, to Israel in 2010. This year, business cooperation has been significantly expanded. Thus, a similar batch of condensed milk in cans and tubes worth $38.2 thousand has already been shipped to the distant country, with two more such batches to be sent before the end of the year. "The Israeli market is promising, but small. Therefore, increasing supplies here is a certain success for the plant," noted specialists, emphasizing that certain steps are being taken to strengthen its presence in this market. For example, this summer the enterprise obtained a kosher certificate for the production of condensed milk. This prestigious document confirms the high quality and naturalness of Glubokoe products, as well as the high production standards at the enterprise. Obtaining it allows the plant to significantly increase product supplies to Israel. The first deliveries of kosher condensed milk are planned for 2012. Negotiations with potential business partners are already underway for this purpose. In 2011, the plant also managed to increase supplies to Ukraine, which entered the top three leading countries importing Glubokoe products, displacing Uzbekistan. Its share in the total export volume accounted for 1.4% based on the results of 10 months. Russia and Kazakhstan account for 70% and 18.6% respectively. Supplies were also made to Canada, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Armenia. In January-October, Glubokoe Dairy Canning Plant exported products worth $39 million, or 105% compared to the same period last year. The share of exports in the total sales volume was 60%. The enterprise was founded in 1966. It was incorporated in 1998. It includes the Braslav Production Branch (former dairy plant) with a raw material zone and the agricultural enterprise "Mnyuto". The plant produces canned milk, butter, milk powder, whole milk products, casein, and hard rennet cheeses. The product range includes over 120 items. The number of employees is 1.1 thousand people. In January-September, the enterprise produced products worth Br269 billion, or 151% compared to the same level in 2010. Sales profitability was 13%. -0-
