21 July, Verkhnedvinsk /Tatsiana Palazhay - BELTA/. Dutch company Campina shows serious interest in Belarus's dairy industry. This was reported today to the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mikhail Rusy, during the Head of State's visit to OJSC "Verkhnedvinsky Butter and Cheese Factory", BELTA correspondent reports. The Minister specifically noted that with Belarusian dairy products entering foreign markets, foreign investors have shown interest in Belarus's dairy industry. In particular, one such company is the Dutch dairy producer Campina, widely known in the Russian market for its Fruttis and "Nezhny" yogurt brands. Mikhail Rusy also informed the Head of State about the work being done to establish a dairy company based on OJSC "Savushkin Product". The President gave the instruction to create a national dairy company by the end of the year, which will be engaged in milk production and processing, during his working visit to the Brest region at the end of June. Regarding the dairy processing industry, according to the Minister, it is planned that 6 million tons of milk will be supplied to processing enterprises this year, from which 158 thousand tons of cheese, 110 thousand tons of butter, 120 thousand tons of skimmed and regular milk, and 2-2.2 million tons of whole milk products for the population's needs will be produced, with the remainder to be supplied for export. In addition, Belarus exports about 95% of its produced skimmed milk powder. -0-
