The international multi-stage autocross competition "Slavonic Cup" will be held on September 10-11 in Orsha, the competition director Alexander Demeshchenko informed a BELTA correspondent. The autocross will take place at the "Kuteenka" extreme training ground in microdistrict-1 of Orsha. More than 60 crews, each consisting of one person, from Belarus and Russia will take part in the races. On the first day, participants will compete in the "National-2000" and "D-1 Junior" categories. Among those vying for victory in the latter category will be Gleb Demeshchenko (car number 43), winner of the 2011 Belarusian Autocross Championship, and Maxim Vasiliev (car number 27), the 2010 Russian Junior Champion. On September 11, races will be held in the "D-2 Supercars" and "D-3 Sprint" categories. If there are more than ten crews in a category, semi-final races will be formed. Also, at the request of the drivers, a super-race may be organized – a race in which all interested participants can take part, regardless of their category. The award ceremony for the winners, with the presentation of valuable prizes, cups, medals, and diplomas, will take place on September 11. The competitions are organized by the Orsha City Executive Committee and DOSAAF. The event is held on the initiative of the governors of the Vitebsk and Smolensk regions of Belarus and Russia, aiming to strengthen the integration of the two peoples. -0-
