State traffic inspectors of the Vitebsk region provided assistance to more than a dozen drivers who had "stalled" over the past day, the inspector of the agitation and propaganda department of the traffic police of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Dina Shevchenko, told a BELTA correspondent. Mostly, truck drivers were among those needing assistance on the region's roads. Thus, on the M-3 highway, traffic police officers assisted two trucks, and on the border of Shumilino and Polotsk districts - a citizen of Poland. Patrolling of the region's highways was carried out throughout the day by all state traffic inspectors. In the same mode, traffic police officers will monitor throughout the period of adverse weather conditions. To avoid possible troubles on the road, drivers need to be prepared and cautious, and also not to remain indifferent to people in trouble - to help them themselves or report it via the hotline "102".
