The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds that vehicles with additional items not provided for by their design installed on the windows and/or in the window openings, or with coatings applied, including film coatings, are prohibited from participating in road traffic.
Furthermore, vehicles with tinted windows, the light transmission of which does not meet the requirements of the Traffic Regulations, are prohibited from participating in road traffic, namely, windows with a light transmission of less than:
70 percent – for the windshield (the glass used for glazing the front opening of the vehicle), and front side windows;
70 percent – for other windows, if they are not marked by the manufacturing organization (plant) with one of the following combinations of characters: "43R", "V"; "43R", "V-VI"; "AS3"; "43R", "V", "AS3".
Driving a vehicle in violation of the conditions under which its participation in road traffic is prohibited by the Traffic Regulations shall incur a fine of up to one base value.
