The police continue to work on identifying and suppressing violations of legislation by owners of all-terrain vehicles (quad bikes) and similar vehicles.
Emphasis is placed on establishing the physical condition of quad bike drivers, and checking the documentation of the vehicles used. Active explanatory and preventive work is also carried out regarding the necessity of observing traffic regulations and the inadmissibility of driving onto agricultural land and damaging plantings.
In connection with violations of legislation by drivers of all-terrain vehicles (quad bikes) related to their movement on roads, sown fields, and other plantings, the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region strongly recommends their owners and drivers to observe the established rules. The aforementioned vehicles, in accordance with their technical characteristics and design features, are not intended for participation in road traffic. At the same time, their owners must choose places for movement that do not pose a threat to the safety of citizens and do not cause damage to the environment and agricultural land.
When participating in road traffic, where it is not prohibited by the Traffic Regulations, quad bike drivers are held accountable on a general basis.
Information about instances of all-terrain vehicles (quad bikes) being detected, whose drivers are moving on public roads, as well as on agricultural land, should be reported by calling 102 (free call) or to the nearest police department.
