Starting today, the republican preventive campaign "Don't be invisible on the road!" has commenced in the Vitebsk region. The event will run until October 30.

Primarily, it aims to prevent road traffic accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists, and serves to remind about the importance of using retroreflective elements and high-visibility vests during dark hours.

Traffic police patrols will be deployed to accident-prone road sections and pedestrian crossings, and will monitor pedestrians' and cyclists' compliance with traffic regulations, especially during dark hours. Increased attention will be paid to individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Also, until October 30, the traffic police are conducting a set of preventive measures to enhance the safety of passenger transportation in irregular services (by buses and taxis).
