The State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region reminds drivers of the procedure to follow after a road traffic accident

  To ensure road traffic safety, drivers involved in road traffic accidents should:

  immediately stop, engage the parking brake and hazard warning lights;

  having ensured their own safety, place the breakdown warning triangle; take measures to provide necessary assistance to the injured party (parties), call an ambulance; record the names and addresses of witnesses to the accident, report the incident to the police and await the arrival of traffic police officers, if possible, off the roadway.

  We draw attention to the fact that not only vehicle drivers but also passengers are obliged to stay off the roadway, as being at the scene of an accident puts their lives in danger.

  Remember that by following the specified procedure, you ensure not only your own safety but also the safety of other road users.
