The State Automobile Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs will hold the preventive event "On the Road Without Mistakes!" on December 17.

For 11 months of the current year, 45 road traffic accidents involving minors have been registered in the Vitebsk region, in which three children died and 54 people were injured.

With the aim of preventing road traffic accidents involving minors, as well as increasing the responsibility of adults for children's safety on the road, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct enhanced control near educational institutions in the district.

During the events, covert and mixed control will be used, and unregulated pedestrian crossings near educational institutions will be patrolled to identify violations of the Traffic Regulations by vehicle drivers who fail to yield to pedestrians, as well as to suppress violations of the Traffic Regulations by vulnerable road users.
