The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds about the inadmissibility of driving vehicles while intoxicated

Driving a vehicle while intoxicated is a potentially dangerous and gross violation of the traffic regulations.

We remind you that the traffic regulations strictly and unequivocally prohibit all drivers from operating vehicles while in a state of alcoholic intoxication, or in a state caused by the use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic, toxic, and other stupefying substances.

For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, the measure of administrative penalty depends on the concentration of alcohol in the blood or its vapors in the exhaled air: from 0.3 to 0.8 per mille - 100 base units with deprivation of the right to drive for 3 years; over 0.8 per mille - 200 base units with deprivation of the right to drive for 5 years. For committing this violation repeatedly within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty, criminal liability is provided.
