The State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region urges all road users to be attentive and cautious on the road.

In rainy weather, drivers must select the appropriate speed, as well as strictly observe the distance and lateral clearance. Remember that the braking distance significantly increases on wet asphalt surfaces.

When entering a rain band, you should immediately reduce speed smoothly and refrain from sharp maneuvers and braking.

If bad weather catches you in your personal vehicle, do not attempt to drive through flooded areas. You should slowly move to the far right lane or pull over to the shoulder and stop. In this case, turn on the hazard lights.

When driving through intersections and pedestrian crossings, you must increase your attention and reduce your speed.

Pedestrians should exercise increased caution when crossing the roadway.
