A State Commission for the Supervision of the Preparation and Conduct of Entrance Examinations in Higher and Secondary Special Education Institutions in 2016 has been established in Belarus. This is stipulated by Decree No. 170 "On the Organisation of the Admission Campaign in Educational Institutions in 2016", which was signed on May 11 by President Alexander Lukashenko, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
A State Commission for the Supervision of the Preparation and Conduct of Entrance Examinations in Higher and Secondary Special Education Institutions in 2016 has been established in Belarus. This is stipulated by Decree No. 170 "On the Organisation of the Admission Campaign in Educational Institutions in 2016", which was signed on May 11 by President Alexander Lukashenko, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
The commission includes members of the government and the Council of the Republic, deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, heads of state administration bodies, representatives of public organisations, and employees of regulatory bodies. Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Kochanova has been appointed as the chairperson of the commission.
The decree also defines the powers of the commission. It is tasked with ensuring control over the preparation and conduct of centralised testing and other forms of entrance examinations, and providing applicants with equal opportunities for admission to higher and secondary special education institutions.
In accordance with the decree, the commission will take measures to eliminate violations of legislation regulating the organisation and conduct of admissions, receive citizens' applications on issues related to the preparation and conduct of entrance examinations, and ensure coverage of its work in the mass media.
