48 representatives of various fields of activity, as well as three institutions, have been awarded state decorations and the Gratitude of the President. The corresponding decree and order were signed on December 30 by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BELTA was informed by the press service of the head of state.
Orders, medals and honorary titles have been awarded to 38 employees of various enterprises, organizations and structures for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, significant personal contribution to the improvement of the judicial system, the fight against crime, ensuring constitutional legality, state security, protection of state interests, implementation of state information policy, development of the oil and chemical industry, high production performance, excellent achievements in public service, project activities, healthcare, education, science, culture and sports.
Valentin Sukalo, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus (1997-2025), has been awarded the Order of Fatherland, II degree. Petr Miklashevich, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Belarus (2008-2025), and Yuri Kharin, Director of the Research Institute of Applied Problems of Mathematics and Informatics of Belarusian State University, have been awarded the Order of Fatherland, III degree. Alexander Sharapo, Professor of the Department of International Relations of Belarusian State University, has been awarded the Order of Honour.
Seven employees of the Investigative Committee have been awarded the medal "For Distinction in Protection of Public Order", including Yuri Garin, senior investigator for particularly important cases of the department for the investigation of crimes in the sphere of organized crime and corruption for the Brest region of the main department for the investigation of crimes in the sphere of organized crime and corruption of the central apparatus of the SC, and Andrey Kashevich, head of the forensic department of the USC for the Gomel region.
A large group of employees has been awarded the medal "For Labour Merit". Among them are Oksana Diakevich, Deputy Director for Core Activities of the Minsk Regional Center for Correctional and Developmental Education and Rehabilitation, Svetlana Zdoronkova, physics teacher at Secondary School No. 34 in Babruisk, Alexander Pishchik, well-drilling welder-welder of RUP "Production Association "Belorusneft", and Ivan Skarzhinsky, surgeon at Brest Central City Hospital.
The Francis Skaryna Medal has been awarded to Sergey Gusachenko, First Deputy Chairman of the National State Television and Radio Company (BelTeleradiocompany), and Olga Shpilevskaya, Director of the National Branch (Representative Office) of the Interstate Television and Radio Company "Mir" in Belarus.
The medal "For Impeccable Service" of the II degree has been awarded to Dmitry Khvashchevsky, Head of the Main Financial Department of the Presidential Affairs Directorate of Belarus. The medal "For Impeccable Service" of the III degree has been awarded to Elena Mitkova and Svetlana Nosakova, Deputy Head of the Legal Department and Head of Personnel Management of the Presidential Affairs Directorate of Belarus, respectively.
The Decree also conferred honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus.
The title "Honoured Media Worker" has been awarded to Dmitry Zhuk, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the "Belarus Segodnya" Publishing House, an institution of the Administration of the President of Belarus. The title "Honoured State Security Officer" has been awarded to Ivan Tertel, Chairman of the State Security Committee. The title "Honoured Master of Sports" has been awarded to Ivan Litvinovich, athlete-instructor of the national trampoline team of Belarus of the Republican Centre of Olympic Training for Gymnastics.
A Letter of Gratitude from the President has been announced to 10 representatives of various fields of activity, as well as to three institutions: Gomel Chemical Plant – for a significant contribution to the development of the chemical industry and effective production activities; the Republican Centre of Olympic Training for Gymnastics and the Republican Centre of Olympic Training "Stayki" – for a significant contribution to the development of their respective sports and the training of high-class athletes.
The award has been presented to Maxim Zaretsky, Deputy Head of the Aviation Technical Base for Production of OJSC "Belavia Belarusian Airlines", and Alexander Melets, Director of the "IMS and PP Assembly Plant" branch of OJSC "INTEGRAL" – management company of the "INTEGRAL" holding – for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to the development of civil aviation and microelectronics, respectively.
Irina Kurochkina, an athlete-instructor of the Belarusian national freestyle wrestling team at the RCOF "Styki", has been awarded the President's Gratitude for her high professional skill and excellent sporting achievements in international and republican freestyle wrestling competitions. Alim Selimov, Chairman of the Belarusian Wrestling Federation, and Tadeush Yushkevich, Professor at the Department of Athletics of the Belarusian State University of Physical Education, have been awarded this honour for their conscientious and fruitful work, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports.
For their significant personal contribution to the implementation of the state information policy, high professionalism, and objective and comprehensive coverage of the socio-political, economic, and socio-cultural life of the country, five media workers have been awarded the President's Gratitude. The awards were presented to Anton Vasyukevich, General Producer of the General Production Centre of Belarusian Radio of the NGTRK; Maksim Vecherkov, Special Correspondent of the Correspondent Network Department of the Directorate of Information Broadcasting of CJSC "Second National Television Channel"; Natalya Gorokhovik, Chief Director of the Main Directorate of the "First Information" TV Channel of the NGTRK; Yevgeny Pustovoy, Political Observer of the Department of Political Observers of the Directorate of Information Broadcasting of CJSC "Stolichnoye Televideniye"; and Irina Egorshina, Head of the Photo Information Processing Sector of the Department for Coverage of the Activities of the President of the Republic of Belarus of the Editorial Office for Coverage of the Activities of the President of the Republic of Belarus of RUP "Belarusian Telegraph Agency".
