Representatives of various fields of activity have been awarded orders and medals for many years of fruitful work, exemplary performance of official duties, significant personal contribution to the creation of the Belarusian Earth Remote Sensing Space System, the development of the construction industry and the building materials industry, the Belarusian press, the sphere of art, culture and architecture, and significant achievements in the field of communications, scientific activities, and training of highly qualified specialists.
Among those awarded the Order of Honour is Mikhail Kozinets, chief conductor of the I. Zhinovich National Academic Folk Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. Lyudmila Gabasova, editor of the social issues department of the "Sovetskaya Belorussiya" newspaper, Gennady Buralkin, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, and Sergey Gaponenko, executive director of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research, are among those awarded the Francysk Skaryna Medal.
Lev Gladkov, professor of the Department of Mathematics and Physics of the Belarusian State Academy of Communications, and Alexander Kenda, director of the Brest branch of RUP "Beltelecom", have been awarded the Medal "For Labour Services". Sergey Drozdovsky, Chairman of the Chausy District Executive Committee, has been awarded the Medal "For a Saved Life".
In addition, the decree conferred honorary titles. Anatoly Alay, film director and member of the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers, has become a People's Artist of Belarus. Vladimir Solomakha, director of the Republican Institute of Innovative Technologies of the Belarusian National Technical University, has been awarded the title "Honoured Worker of Education of the Republic of Belarus", and Alexander Yanovsky, General Director of OJSC "Keramin", has been awarded the title "Honoured Worker of Industry of the Republic of Belarus".
